Formech 686 Vacuumform system

The highly advanced and powerful Formech 686 (floor standing) thermoforming machine makes light work of most critical applications.

The Floor standing machines with pre-stretch features provide uniform material thickness for the deep molds while the auto level signals inform the operator when the material is suitable for molding.

The fast responding quartz heating elements with 6 adjustable heating zones provides precisely controlled heating settings for consistent high definition results.

The interactive touchscreen with 20 pre-programmed offers ultimate ease of use.

Power table
Lifts the tool table quickly and accurately and allows fatigue-free work even with heavy tools. Dual controls prevent accidental activation.

Pre-Stretch
Pre-stretch allows the user to pump air into the heated plate, creating an air bubble to prevent material from thinning with deeper tools.

Auto-Level
Avoids material sag during the heating cycle and maintains an even distance between the heater and the plate, while providing the user with an audible indication that the material is ready to be formed.

Vacuum gauge
A visual indication of consistent vacuum pressure being applied (pressure in Hg / bar).

Dry rotary vane pump 16m3 / hour
Oil-free and requires minimal maintenance.

Reducing Window

Reduces the forming area to use smaller sheets of material and minimize waste. We offer this in Standard or custom format.

Cooling Fan system
To cool formed material and shorten cycle times.

Reel Feed Unit
Assembly to hold reel materials. Suitable for the Formech 450DT, 508DT, 508FS and 686.

Heating pyrometer
Sensor for accurate feedback of the blade temperature and for returning heaters when target temperature is reached (except on the 686 and 1372 where it gives a digital readout). Emergency air storage tank provides cooling continuity on shutdown to protect the pyrometer.

Cooling Bolster
A water-cooled plate to instantly cool and control the aluminum tool temperature for consistent and faster cycle times. Chillers optional.

Vacuum flow regulator
Accurately controls the vacuum flow when a greater degree of control is required in demanding applications.

Mobility wheels
With 6 locking wheels you can safely move the machine from one area to another.

Vacuum receiver tank
A vacuum tank that provides instant stored vacuum for demanding materials and shorter cycle times.

Spare parts Kit
A consumable kit, usually with seals, elements, filter, fuses, tension clips.
