The SynTec Poly Foam R250 is a hard foam with a free expansion density of approximately 250 kgm-3. This two-component polyurethane hard foam stiffens to a hard foam with a hardness of approximately Shore A 80-85.<\/p>\n

The very hard foam is very fluid with a low viscosity and can be used for various applications such as filling hollow castings for example molds, dies, props and other applications. This R250 is processed with a mixing ratio of 100A:85B by weight or 100A:74.6 by volume.<\/p>\n

Calculation of required quantity:<\/p>\n

Quantity of PU Foam = desired density (kgm-3) x filling volume (m3).
\nThe R250 has a free density of 250 kgm-3 but to get a good result you have to calculate with a desired density of 280 kg m3.<\/p>\n

The processing of R250 comp. A and Comp. B is at room temperature 18 \u2013 25\u00b0C and preferably not lower than 18\u00b0C \u200b\u200bto maintain good properties. Preferably weigh the desired quantity neatly with a scale. The mold must be dry and clean. After weighing correctly, mix Comp. A and B well until a homogeneous mixture and therefore streak-free. Poor mixing results in sticky and poor quality foam. Mixing and pouring must be completed before the cream time of 35-45 seconds starts.<\/p>\n

\nDemould time 15 mm:<\/strong> 45 + minutes
\nDemould time 50 mm:<\/strong> 20 + minutes
\nHardness:<\/strong> 80-85 Shore A<\/p>\n

Free Density:<\/strong> 240-280 kgm-3.
\nFree Density core:<\/strong> 250 kgm-3<\/p>\n

Required packaging:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1kg A + 850g B – on request
\n5kg A + 4.25kg B – on request
\n25kg A + 21.25kg B – on request<\/p>\n

The foam can be cut off after 2 hours, for example from the (vent) holes. Full curing is only after 72 hours.<\/p>\n
