The Platsil Gel 10 is a commonly used Shore A 10 addition cured silicone gel. The Platinum cured two components RTV (room temperature vulcanization) silicone rubber is milky white when it cures. Te Gel 10 has a pour time of 6 minutes and a demold time of 30 minutes. The Silicone gel has a high viscosity of 15.000 cP.<\/p>\n

The Platsil gel 10 is\u00a0 like the Platsil Gel 25, Platsil 73-45 and Tinsil 80-30 an FDA approved and food contact safe silicone. The silicone can be used for contact with food in machine parts, packaging and gaskets or for making silicone rubber molds for ice molds, bakeware, chocolate molds, or other applications within the food industry. The silicone rubber parts and molds must first be thoroughly washed with detergent and dried.<\/p>\n

The mixed A + B silicone rubbers have been tested by an independent laboratory and comply with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 as published in “Code of Federal Regulations” for rubber parts for repeated use with food contact. Accurate and clean working with the right mixing ratio, processing, good mixing and complete curing is the minimum requirement for approval. Compliance with this regulation does not mean that these silicone rubbers are FDA approved. Regulatory compliance and FDA certified processor of these materials are requirements for this type of approval. Do not expose the mold or rubber parts to temperatures above 204 \u00b0 C \/ 400 \u00b0 F during baking.<\/p>\n

The Platsil Gels can be mixed with the Smith\u2019s Theatical Prosthetic Deadener to get life-like theatrical prosthetic appliances. Ther Platsil Gel is the industry standard in special effects for television, film and theater makers. Beside this the materials is very populair for making general molds, props, life casting applications and medical applications.<\/p>\n

With add accessoiries as deadener, softener, harders, color pigemnts, thickeners, retarders, acceslerator and thinning softener you change some properties. An array of accessory products can be used independently or in concert to increase working time, accelerate cure time, thicken the mix for brushing\/layering, increase Shore Hardness, thin the mix for easier pouring, or \u201cdeaden\u201d the rubber to soften and eliminate the snappy, synthetic look and feel of ordinary silicone rubbers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
