Poly foam F-3 is a two part self-skinning flexible polyurethane foam. The p.u. foam F-3 has a “free-rise density” of 3 lb \/ ft\u00b3 but should be cast at a density of 5 to 8 lb \/ ft\u00b3 to obtain a good surface detail and mold fill. The flexible foams can be used well as fillings in fast casting resins, epoxy or siliocne \/ polyurethane rubbers for making props, tools, art objects, decorative or functional applications or for parts that have to be light weight. These Poly Foams can be cast in our Eurosil (addition) and SG C-Sil silicone rubber molds or in our polyurethane rubbers that are pre-coated with release agent such as our release agent Pol-Ease 2300 or release agent VL.<\/p>\n

The PolyFoam F-3 is a foam with 2A:1B mixing ratio and has a viscosity of 2,000 cP. The Poly foam has a cream time of 25 seconds, rise time of 1.5 minutes. After 3 minutes (tack-free time) the stickiness of the foams will decrease and you will see a skin around the foam. This skin is from the foam itself (self skinning). The F-5 foam can be removed from the mold after 10 minutes. Since the skin of the product automatically arises from the product, maximum foam will develop in the mold and on the surface. The Poly foam can also be colored with the poly paste and poly colors.<\/p>\n

SynTec\u00ae produces “flexible” and “Rigid” polyurethane casting foams (PolyFoams). The Flexible foams are available in two variants: the PolyFoam F-3 and PolyFoam F-5 (molded density 8-15 lb \/ ft\u00b3). The rigid, hard version is available in R-2, R-5 and R-8.<\/p>\n
